Safety! The measure of success
At Enhanced Communication Solutions Inc. our HS & E program is continuously
changing and improving in order to achieve our safety goals. We do not look
at safety as a task or a procedure, but more so, a part of our day to day
way of doing business. We are committed to ensuring all our employees have
the training, equipment and procedures in place necessary to work safely.
We believe that all incidents are preventable and at ECS Inc. we strive
to achieve this goal. Our philosophy is through effective safety management
programs, and consistency, all employees arrive home safely each and every
day.
Enhanced Communication Solutions Inc. is continuously improving our
current safety and loss prevention programs and proactively developing
new ones. ECS Inc. safety culture is supported by senior management
and is the foundation from which additional, essential safety program
elements are developed and implemented. Our HS & E program has grown
to include the following:

- WCB claims management
- Near miss reporting
- Supervisor safety training
- Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)
Enhanced Communication Solutions Inc. actively participates in several
industry initiatives and associations to ensure that our safety programs
meet and exceed the demands of industry and owner safety expectations.
Proactive safety program measurement in the form of safety audits
and inspections are conducted monthly at each project. Results are benchmarked
and improvement opportunities identified.
Lost time accident, medical aid and near miss frequencies are monitored
continuously. Statistics are tracked by project manager, supervisor
and foreman. Corrective actions are developed and implemented accordingly.
Our HS & E Manager oversees the project safety plans, safe work plans
and safety procedures of all projects, as well as supports the customers
HS & E program and policies on-site. ECS Inc. Workers compensation and
Safety Administrator ensure all incidents are recorded and reported
within 72 hours and tracks all incidents for corporate statistics. Modified
work programs are reinforced and tracked carefully to measure safety
performance.
